Currently, we are looking for an experienced, responsible and highly motivated colleague to join our team in Bucharest at the position of Back Office Associate. The main tasks include back-office tasks on transactions, communication with vendors to help with transaction resolution, managing and monitoring documentation, and recording business events on credit transactions in the back-end systems.

What will the Back Office Associate be doing?

  • Monitor and process documentation in the bookkeeping field, ensuring accurate and orderly management, updating, and storing all administration, including contracts and supporting documentation;
  • Implement payment transactions, create invoices and statements, and prepare payment files.
  • Post and verify payments, handle reconciliation with banks, and conduct financial data expiration control;
  • Analyze and address failed transactions, manage rejected payment orders, and notify clients as needed;
  • Control monthly transaction limits, prepare and execute regular financial operations, and ensure accurate financial data management;
  • Monitor concluded transactions, record business events, and perform back-end monitoring and administration of credit transactions;
  • Plan, execute, and control back-office processes for underwriting management and consumer loan collections;
  • Control and confirm verifications, manage approval and underwriting processes, and ensure compliance with internal policies;
  • Provide operational support, handle document review and archive management, and manage complaint processes;
  • Communicate and cooperate with financial partners and external accounting agencies, ensuring timely and accurate financial operations;
  • Track and manage bank deposits and payments, prepare and verify financial documentation, and handle reporting and data quality control;
  • Identify and address discrepancies in financial transactions, flagging unsold transactions, and managing risk-related rejections;
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and standards;
  • Handle collection activities and monitor potential fraud activities;
  • Collaborate on projects such as partial delivery, write-offs, and digital KYC.

What will the successful candidate have?

  • 2+ years of experience in the back office, administration, and support, preferably in consumer lending institutions;
  • High schooled education degree or higher, Economic field;
  • Knowledge of the basics of legislation and regulations in the field of consumer credit(e.g., OUG 50/2010, OUG 52/2016, etc.);
  • Knowledge of consumer lending processes and standards;
  • Knowledge of communication standards and rules;
  • Knowledge of the basics of accounting;
  • Knowledge of the basics of recovery;
  • Good knowledge of communication standards and rules, and experience in collections;
  • Good understanding of personal finance, consumer loans, responsible lending, retail banking, retail insurance, credit card business, fintech, and similar;
  • Good organizational and communication skills, openness, and an aptitude for teamwork;
  • Self-initiative, conscientiousness and accuracy;
  • High propensity to learn and progress;
  • Good Microsoft Office knowledge (especially Excel).
